Holiday Newsletter

Happy Holidays!

I hope everyone's Autumn was much better than mine, which sucked so badly I would have whined about it here.

And since I was taught that if you cannot say anything nice, you shouldn't say anything at all.....

You guessed it! No newsletter for the past couple months.

Oops.

As you can see, I've finally gotten around to obtaining and sharing some newish photos, taken a couple months back.

I'm currently visiting a new city for me (Sioux Falls) and I hope to add more locations in the Dakotas next year.

YAY for new places, people and experiences!

I do still love to travel and will continue touring for as long as I am able.

I just came from Omaha which, I'm sorry to say, will be seeing less of me in 2023.

Another destination which will be reduced or possibly eliminated altogether is Fort Wayne, IN.

Before leaving Omaha for my drive to Sioux Falls, I checked out Aksarben Village's holiday decorations, which did not disappoint.

I usually go down to Old Market at this time of year, but when I checked for a couple of my favorite boutiques to learn their hours, I instead found they're no longer in business.

So I meandered around Aksarben instead.

This is my favorite time of the year: I love all the bright lights and Christmas music!

Plus, snowy Winter weather has always enchanted me.

Our Midwestern Winters are one of the things which keep me here.

UPDATED TOUR INFORMATION

Unfortunately, due to health issues, I was forced to postpone my planned Carolinas tour. When I do get that back on my schedule, I will break it up into a couple separate visits. My previous intention was to hit 5 cities in 5 days but I've recently been reminded that I'm NOT WonderWoman and need to go at a (gasp) human pace.

Grrrrr.

So when that does reappear on my schedule, it will be in two separate 3-day tours. As I've mentioned in the past, I go home on the weekends so expect those trips to be separated by a long one.

With the insane inflation we're all experiencing, Florida has turned out to be unfeasible due to the very high advertising & hotel rates there.

I truly am sorry I could not make it again this year.

Kansas City was unfortunately canceled twice, but hopefully the third time is the charm: I am planning to visit in February.

In other news: I won't be taking off as much time during the holidays as usual, but will instead be available in my home area of Chicagoland for a few days.

Going forward into the new year (good heavens, WHERE did '22 go??), most of my trips will be shorter than they've previously been.

I'll also have reduced availability due to making time for exercise, regular meal-times and all the mundane things I've been neglecting for far too long.

I won't bore you with details of my recently-diagnosed chronic illnesses, though.

Because although I'm getting older, I'm not THAT old yet!

Thank you all for hanging in here with me and, as always, I hope to meet up with you down the road! XOXOXOXO

Thank you! I truly appreciate everyone who reads my newsletter! I hope to see you soon!!  xoxoxo
